Nature near Chiang Mai in one day

You don’t have to go all the way to Doi Inthanon for forest, mountains and cool air. Spend the first half of the day on Doi Suthep–Pui, right next to the city, then choose a reservoir or head up to Mae Rim for the second half. Three or four stops from this list is about right for one day.

    Rose gardens and cool-climate flowers on the mountain. It closes to visitors while members of the royal family are in residence, so check before you go.
